ஜனவரி 2006ல் தொடங்கி ஏப்ரல் 2007ல் முடிந்திருக்கும் நம்முடைய இரண்டாவது நாவலான பைசாசம் பற்றிய வாசகர் கருத்துக்களை உங்களுடன் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறோம்.

பைசாசம் சரித்திர நாவல் உலகில் சற்று வித்தியாசமான முயற்சி. ஒரு சிறிய கிராமத்தில் சுழன்று சுழன்று நடக்கும் கதை. இராஜாக்கள் கத்தியைக் தூக்காமல் ஒற்றர்கள் வேவு பார்க்காமல் மிக எளிமையான மனிதர்கள் இயல்பாக வந்து போகும் கதை. மயக்க உலகில் நிகழாமல் மண்ணோடு மண்ணாக வேர்பாய்ச்சி - கற்பனையின் எல்லை நிஜத்தின் விளிம்பைத் தொட்டுக்கொண்டு நிற்கும் கதை. இதனை வரவேற்று ஆதரித்த அத்தனை வாசகர்களுக்கும் மனமார்ந்த நன்றி.

கதையைப் படித்தபின் திருக்கோளக்குடிக்கு ஒருமுறை விஜயம் செய்யவேண்டுமென்று நினைக்கும் அன்பர்கள் திருச்சி அல்லது புதுக்கோட்டையை அடைந்து அங்கிருந்து காரில் செல்வது சிலாக்கியமானது. காரில் வருவோருக்கு சுலபமான வழி எதுவெனில் திருமயம் சென்று அங்கிருந்து மிதிலைப்பட்டி - கோளக்குடி பாதையை விசாரித்துக்கொண்டு செல்வதுதான். புதுக்கோட்டை இராங்கியம் மார்க்கமாகவும் கோளக்குடியை அடையலாம். பேருந்தில் கோளக்குடிக்குச் செல்வதும் சாத்தியம்தான் எனினும் பேருந்து நேரங்களை முன்கூட்டி விசாரித்துக்கொண்டு விடுவது நல்லது. மலைக்கோயில் 9 மணியிலிருந்து 12 மணி வரை திறந்திருக்குமென்று எதிர்பார்க்கலாம். விட்டால் பின் 4 மணியிலிருந்து 8 மணிவரை. ஏறக்குறைய ஒருமணிநேரத்திற்குக் குறையாமல் கோயிலில் சுற்றிவிட்டு பின் மதிய நேரக் கத்திரி வெய்யிலை வீணாக்காமல் மலையைச் சுற்றவும். சிறிய ஊரான கோளக்குடியில் ஒரு சோடாக்கடையைக் கூடப் பார்க்கமுடியவில்லையென்பதால் தண்ணீர், நொறுக்குத்தீனி, மதிய உணவு என்று எல்லாவற்றையும் புதுக்கோட்டையிலேயே வாங்கிக்கொண்டுவிடுங்கள்.




கோளக்குடி மலை உச்சியில் - கார்த்திகை தீபப் பாறைக்கு அருகில்


மலைமேல் ஏற விரும்பும் அன்பர்கள் தத்தம் குலதெய்வங்களைப் பிரார்தித்துக்கொண்டு கார்த்திகை தீபப் பாறைக்குச் செல்லும் வழியைக் கேட்டுச் செல்லவும். ஊர்மக்கள் மிகவும் அன்பான மனிதர்கள் என்பதால் கூடவே வந்து வழிகாட்டக்கூட செய்வார்கள். சுட்டெரிக்கும் வெய்யிலிலும் மலை உச்சியை அடைந்துவிட்டால் சொர்க்கம் தெரியும். மலை உச்சிக்குச் சென்றால் தவறாமல் ஆதிலிங்கேசுவரர் திருக்கோயிலைக் கண்டு தரிசனம் செய்யுங்கள். வழிபாட்டில் இல்லாத பாழடைந்த கோயில் இது. பின் நேரமிருந்தால் மலையின் பின்புறம் அமைந்திருக்கும் தாமரைக்குளம், சூரமலை, தென்னந்தோப்பு என்று சுற்றிவரலாம். ஆர்வக்கோளாறில் தவறிப்போய்க்கூட குகைத்தளப்பாதையில் கால் வைத்து விடாதீர்கள் ! விஷப் பாம்புகளின் தொல்லை இங்கு மிக அதிகம். ஊருணியிலிருந்தே தலையை உயரத் திருப்பி குகையை தரிசனம் செய்து கொள்வது நல்லது. அதேபோல் எளிதில் கண்டுபிடித்துவிட முடியாத பதப்பிலீச்சுரம் பக்கமும் தலைவைத்துப் படுக்காமல் இருப்பது உத்தமம்.

கோளக்குடி வரை போய்விட்டு அதற்கு மிக அருகில் இருக்கும் பூலாங்குறிச்சியை விஜயம் செய்யாமல் வந்து விடாதீர்கள் ! தமிழகத்தின் மிக மிக முக்கியமான கல்வெட்டுகளில் ஒன்றாகக் கருதப்படும் களப்பிரர் காலத்துக் கல்வெட்டொன்று இங்கு ஒரு பாறையில் வெட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

சிங்கப்பூர் பூங்கா, இரயில் நிலையம், நூல் நிலையம் என்று ஆரம்பித்து அமெரிக்காவின் நாஷ்வில் விமான நிலையம், நியூ ஜெர்சி ரெயில் வண்டி என்று சம்மந்தமில்லாத இடங்களில் வளர்ந்தாலும் எழுதத் துவங்கியவுடன் மனம் மந்திரம் போட்டதுபோல் கோளக்குடியைச் சென்றடைந்ததற்கு காரணம் திருக்கோளக்குடி மலையில் அமைதியாக அமர்ந்து அருள்பாலிக்கும் அந்த மலைமூர்த்திதான் என்று உறுதியாக நினைக்கிறேன். அதன் திருவடி தொழுகிறேன்.

வாசகர்களின் உற்சாகமான பின்னூட்டமும் மின்னஞ்சல்களும் இந்த நாவல் வளர ஊக்கிகளாக இருந்தன. பின்னூட்டமளித்த அத்தனை நண்பர்களுக்கும் நேரமின்மையின் காரணமாக பதிலளிக்க முடியவில்லை. அதற்காக மன்னிப்புப் கோருகிறோம். வாசகர் எண்ணங்களைப் பார்க்கும்போது எத்தனை ஆழமாக நமது எழுத்துக்கள் படிக்கப்படுகின்றன என்பது தெளிவாகத் தெரிகிறது. இது நமது பொறுப்பை அதிகரிக்கச் செய்கிறது. இன்னும் சிறப்பாகச் செய்யவேண்டும் என்று ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் தோன்றுகிறது.

நாவலின் உருவாக்கத்திற்குத் துணைநின்ற அத்தனை இதயங்களுக்கும் நன்றி.

திருக்கோளக்குடி என்னும் சின்னஞ்சிறு குக்கிராமம் எனக்களித்த அனுபவங்கள் ஆச்சரியமானவை.

Just now completed reading paisasam. I am spell bound. Really a great piece of work. Since I read this story in bits and pieces, I got lost some times and hence missed the continuity of the story. But the climax is ultimate. Really a great turning point. By the way, is your experience a real one or again its part of the story ?

This second novel confirms your inspiration from Kalki. Gud work Gokul.. your knowledge base is too gud. The twist in the climax ( about paisasam ) was a surprise ஸat least for me it is. But one thing Gokul.. in your stories .. I feel u don’t devote time for the people who form the villain aspect of the plot. For example in paisasam --- the normal life of the original killer was not at all detailedஸu could have added them in the main story line .. A reader comes to know of them mainly when detective explains things. A gud readஸ managed to finish it in less than seven hours( almost the same with Rajakesari)

Pl keep aside the fact that I am gokul' father while you read further.I presume it would be fitting to provide the background that I somewhat know of for you to appreciate the story better. As the story has well illustrated you could touch the stones, sprikle the water in the sunai etc.visit the Nayanar of Thirukkolakkudi and take some rest under the neem tree. Dont risk to upturn the stone and go down the stairs. It has already been done for u! Better you dont risk to go up the hillocks. While going up the hill near the sunai and in the hillock near Pathippileesawaram gokul took considerable risk as the places for taking photos which were in places slippery and with no guidance in the red hot sun it was perhaps a somewhat adventure tinged with some madness.(in which I also participated!) The times we spent at Thirukkolakkudi could not be forgotten. Much groundwork had earlier been done by his dear friend,the route to approach, the places to see etc. without which this would not have been so real. Hope you enjoyed the Pisasam. Every village of ours is treasure house of stories often untold and as Ki.ra would say there are very interesting things just under our feet!

Office velayellam vitutu paisasam padichi mudichiten. Going great. The tempo is well maintained and its very thrilling. But tv serial mathiri koncham rubber podareenga. Chatu puttunu matterukku vara mattengareengale..suspense pada paduthuthuஸ The story is well scripted. Enjoying. Particularly the descriptions of yours are very good. A good description should bring the scene in front of the eyes and you get 100 marks for doing justice to that.Very good narration. Thoivu ellai. Kuzhali’s description is excellent. I can imagine a manians creation in front of my eyes.
